beansideAnother day another tired me. I woke up a few times last night, which may or may not have coincided with dad being fussy upstairs. Apparently, it was another rough night for my sister, who was up and down multiple times with him. I feel for her, but I also can't do anything about it. I cannot sleep upstairs, and we have him all day.
Yesterday was a fairly dull day at work. I got all my shit done and spent the rest of the day poking at things. On Monday, when I had the inbox, I broke one of my cardinal rules. One of the transport companies emailed that the customer was upset because her delivery was delayed due to a truck breakdown. And she was told she was getting a refund of something, but she spoke to someone she couldn't understand due to a language barrier. But her order was set for delivery on Tuesday and everything was good. So, I broke my rule and emailed her with a brief synopsis of what was going on, and that we had refunded her delivery fee. Then, yesterday, of course the TSP failed to deliver, so I had her emailing me again. She's being nice so far, but thanks for making me look like an idiot! Plus, it's a $7k order! I gave up and pulled the Operational Developer of the area in. He pulled the TSP company in, so hopefully she'll get the order on Thursday. But now this woman has my email, and I will be her personal IKEA consultant until the end of time.
Tonight, we have a game run by the always lovelypoisontaster. I'm looking forward to playing for a couple of hours. It's a TTRPG heavy week! We've got games on Wed, Fri, two on Sat, and one on Sun. It should be a lot of fun! It's all of my favorite games in a weekend, which is going to be awesome.
Tomorrow, it's off to work, boo. For tomorrow, I'm just doing the delivery updates, but next week, I will be giving a presentation to one of the higher ups about what our team does. Each dept is going to do a more in-depth presentation on their specific function, but I'm going to be doing the introduction and overview of how the depts work together and what the functions are. So, I'll be spending most of the week working on that. My boss had a powerpoint that I could use, but frankly, it offends my eyes.
Then tomorrow night, my first meeting as a CONfab team leader while we figure out how to get me trained up quickly, since the con that I'm the Attendee Affairs director for is just 4 months away.
Okay, I suppose I should go forth and get myself together for work. I really don't want to, but I will. Everyone have a perfectly cromulent Wednesday!
