beansideBack to work today. I decided that I was just going to take the whole day off yesterday after the social worker came. I could totally have gone to work, but I just didn't feel like it.
The social worker was a sweetheart. I'm not sure how much value her appointment had for us, but she was very nice, so at least it wasn't unpleasant. She gave us a couple of possible resources, but indicated that we had the majority of what we needed. She was fascinated with the no spill sippy cups we had gotten, and took a picture of one so that she could recommend them to other patients and get some for her mother, so that was kind of cool.
I didn't really do anything exciting with my day off. Tried to do a bit more for Dad, so that Jess could have a touch of a break. Don't know how successful I was, but I tried.
We're having some issues with him taking his cpap mask off at night and being very tired the next day. He tends to be a little confused when he first wakes up, and he's taking it off so he can look at his phone, and then dozing back off. We discussed it with him last night, and this morning he has the mask on, so that's something.
My beloved Boodle decided that she needed attention at 5am this morning, and came and clawed the blankets until I extricated a hand to pet her. Then, I dozed back off and the little shit nipped me to keep me petting her. It didn't break skin or anything, but I have two little fang shaped blood blisters. She's a little terror and I love her so much.
Today we have the OT and Nurse both coming to visit. Jess says that they didn't feel like they were particularly hopeful of him getting any stronger, but we'll see. He's certainly not big on doing his exercises, so I gotta admit, I'm thinking no as well.
Last night, I actually managed to sleep most of the night, which was a nice switch. I feel a little less tired this morning. It's a nice switch.
It's strange not to have TTRPG tonight. Maybe I'll be able to go to bed early today and be ready for the dreaded in office day tomorrow.
Okay, I'm going to go forth and get my ass in gear. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
