And it's back to work day, boo. Because retail does not believe in Memorial Day weekend. I'd much rather have slept in a little bit, but alas. IKEA waits for no one.
I don't expect it to be a particularly busy day. I'll do my markets, maybe fuss with Pending returns for a bit. But overall, it'll be a dull day.
Our new printer came on Friday. It's much bigger than I expected, but it's very nice. I printed out my FMLA paperwork. This week, I'll run it over to Dad's primary care doctor, and see if he'll fill it out, so I won't get dinged if I have to use PTO unexpectedly. I burned through the last of my protected sick days, so if I need to take a day, I could conceivably get written up for it, and I'd prefer not to. I don't think my boss would do that, but I want my ass covered, so I may spend some time today filling those out, so they're ready to go.
Yesterday was lovely. The tea shop was unfortunately completely booked, so we ended up going to the Nordstrom Cafe. I tried a new thing. Pork and shrimp in green tea broth with noodles and bok choy and Korean gochujang. It wasn't too spicy, just a nice warmth, but y'all, it was so freaking good. It was one of their specials of the month, and I'm kind of sad that I won't be able to get back in time to have it again. I'll have to see what next month's special is! Maybe it'll be just as tasty.
Then, we had game time!
poisontaster ran a lovely murder mystery. It was so much fun that we all waited to confront our suspect until we'd checked out everyone else, because we didn't want it to be over. All in all, a lot of fun. I was playing Irsu, a bladesinging wizard, who never used their main class ability. lol. Bladesong, what is that? I loved Irsu, even if I rolled about a thirteen only twice in the game. Just means that I have to play him again so I can use it.
Dad wanted to go to bed early, so Jess and I got to go downstairs early and relax, which was lovely. I'm sure this means that he'll be up early, too, so I'm enjoying my quiet and coffee while I can.
Okay, I suppose I should go put on some pants and get ready for work. Ew. I'd really rather not, but alas, I like money. Everyone have a super Sunday!
