beansideIt's a busy Friday for me! Ostensibly my day off, instead today will be filled with things. First up between 9-11am, they'll be delivering a hospital bed and sit/stand assist. Then, it's off to get he dog groomed, then to see Dad, then to pick the dog up, and then game tonight!
We finally gave up on the rehab, and I sent a message to the rental place to request a bed and a sit/stand. Bless them, they got back to me by 8:30am, and by 10, we had it all set up. Of course, the rehab called soon after, and we let them know that all we wanted from them was a prescription so we could ask medicare for reimbursement. I don't know if they will, but it's worth a shot. So, that took one stress off the plate. Now I just have to worry whether it'll fit. I think we're okay, but anxiety doesn't listen at all.
Work yesterday managed to be both busy and boring. I had plenty of shit I could do, but not much motivation. It all got done, but ugh. It was just dull and repetitive. I did delivery updates, all of J and my markets, some extra projects for a manager, and still had time to sit and be bored. J was out, so I didn't have anyone there to talk to. I chatted with A. online. He and I swapped stories of stupidity all day.
We had. sushi for dinner, which was lovely. California roll with lots of little orange fish eggs! Yay!
Then, we took stock of what we needed to get, what we wanted, and did an orgy of Amazon ordering. Sheets, bedside table, all manner of gadgets have been ordered. Some of them have already arrived. I am the proud owner of a Kindle Paperwhite, which I'm hoping will make it easier for me to read. I need larger print, but I was getting frustrated because I read quickly and my phone screen only can display a few sentences. So I felt like I was constantly scrolling and not able to get into the book. Hopefully this helps. Also, since it's not a blue light, I can read in bed and not mess up my sleep cycle.
We also got Dad a Kindle (same model) so he can read his Consumer Reports on it. He voiced that as something he would like.
Okay, time for me to go get some cash to tip the nice people delivering the bed. Everyone have a wonderful Friday!
