Yesterday was a long day, y'all. Up at 5am for Jess' surgery, then at the hospital in very unfortunate chairs for six hours. They did amazing with the surgery, and are doing well post op. It turned out to be only a few adhesions, but a severe flare up of interstitial cystitis. Which had been mostly dormant for over 10 years, so this was a bit of a surprise.
Then, I got home and took her prescriptions to the pharmacy. They said it would be about 2 1/2 hours. Fine, they had a dilaudid before we left, so it wasn't a huge rush. I kept an eye in the app, and the meds remained in pending. Around 5, I finally went over and threw a tiny Karen tantrum, because Jess was coming up on needing those pain meds. What do you know, I got them within 15 minutes then.
Got home and figured out where Dad was taken--no one ever called us to confirm that he was taken, so we had about a 20 minute period where we had misplaced him. He ended up at the rehab next to the one we thought, but apparently he likes that one better, so it's all good. Shelly went to see him last night and he was about going to rehab, and swore he never agreed to it. Which he totally did, so he can suck it up.
Today, I have a psych appointment at 11. I need to call and see if I can switch it to virtual, since I don't really want to leave Jess alone, even though they're doing well.
I totally forgot to switch my alarm back on, and got a text from my sister at 7:25 saying she was leaving and would block the door so Yoda wouldn't come visit. I had been awake but drifting, so I got up quickly so Yoda would have company.
Okay, time for me to go forth and try to wake up. Everyone have a fabulous Friday!
