beansideHoly shit, one week to go until vacation! Kinda freaking out a little bit. The only thing we have left to do is pack, but it feels like a lot. We're supposed to be getting some money from Dad's account for cushioning, and that hasn't come through yet, and it's freaking me out a little bit. Hopefully, it all comes in quickly, and we'll be good, but I'm an anxious person and it's making me a little worried.
Yesterday was fun, my boss came down from NY and I was finally able to meet the voice on the phone in person. Turns out, he's a hugger. Not really a huge surprise. He brought us NY bagels from the place near his home and then stopped at a Filipino place near work, and picked up lunch for us. He is from the Philippines, so he wanted to represent. As I frequently get food from that restaurant, I knew it would be tasty, but I think they outdid themselves. The rice noodles with shrimp were especially tasty as was the Lumpiang Shanghai. I ate roughly my weight in noodles.
Then, I walked him out to his car when he was leaving, and he had wine for me. He runs an import business on the side, and I am his favorite. I got two bottles a rose and a red. My sister, who is more knowledgeable about booze than I am said that they're not three buck chuck styles of wine, and that he definitely loves me best.
Dad's occupational therapist called my sister. She agrees that he is not trying his hardest, but believes that he's still making progress. They're still planning for Thursday, so we shall see. I'm supposed to have a meeting with his care team on Tuesday to discuss, but I don't expect anything to change.
Later today, I'm going to go over to the rehab and visit for a while. Hopefully, he's in a better mood than he was on Tuesday. Otherwise, he may get smacked. I know Shelly was ready to bop him one last night. She said he was being petulant, and wanted her to take a day off work so she could watch him in PT and see that he was ready to come home. We haven't yet told him that discharge is being discussed, and I won't until I talk to them on Tuesday.
Tonight, we have our Curse of Strahd game, so that'll be fun. Tomorrow, nothing going on. Sunday we have the Lost Mine game, and maybe on Wednesday, the new Blades in the Dark game.
Okay, time to get my shit together. Everyone have a wonderful Friday!
