I am so not with it this morning. I slept for shit. Maybe managed 3 hours total. My own fault, I got excited about a potential game and probably missed the "sweet spot" on my ambien. Normally when that happens, I go to sleep around midnight, and that just didn't happen. It's going to be a loooong day.
I did end up scheduling a game on Friday. There was a holiday themed D&D one shot module called "How the Lich Stole Christmas," which came with it's own Suessian poem. It looked too cute not to. So far, I have four players. We'll see if there's any stragglers now that it's not the weekend.
Yesterday was a long, boring day at work. It sounded like the Thursday I was out was kind of a clusterfuck, with only 3 people showing up at the office. Eventually about another 5 came in, but still. WTF, people? My team doesn't seem to understand the concept of "work." Sometimes, you just gotta go into the office. No one wants to, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Today is not likely to be any less boring. I'll probably be doing Pending Returns all day, which, I gotta tell you, is just thrilling. It's amazing, the ways people can fuck up a case, and the sheer number of people who look at said case without fixing the obvious fuck up. Like scheduling a Connecticut pickup to come back to our Canton (Detroit) store and then trying to sell it as an out of market pickup. People, use google. The New Haven store was less than 30 miles away!
I had about six of those. Also, someone keeps changing shit that I book. Yes, in that vein, I know that the Philly store is no where near Buffalo NY, but that's where it goes back to. Read the fucking notes that I put and stop cancelling my pickups.
On the plus side, last night we had the last (?) Witchlight game. It was the second half of the epilogue and it went well. I had only really made the dragons, but about an hour in, it was obvious that they we're curb stomping the dragons, so I made a quick high level cleric (Made them too high, whoops) and some goons to finish out the night. I ended up nerfing the cleric's spells a touch, but overall, it was a lot of fun! There's the potential for more one shots with these characters in the future, but we'll see.
Okay, off to get myself together for work. Everyone have the best Monday you can have!
