Ugh, it's Thursday, time to go into the office. I dislike Thursdays intensely. Today is our official "go live" of our big reorganization, with multiple events to attend. Most of it is probably going to just be self aggrandizing "go us" shit, but I'm hoping for some information on the bonus. The hot cocoa bar is also of interest, even if it is corporate bullshit.

The most annoying thing about the meetings is that they're all fucking with my lunch and break schedule. I do not want to go to lunch at 11:15. Especially since they're providing lunch...starting at 12:30. Ugh. I'll probably order a little something from Starbucks for lunch and eat that, then eat again when I have my second break at 2:15. To be fair, it's probably going to be shitty pizza, so it's not a great loss.

I've gotta figure out clothes at some point. I don't really feel like wearing jeans, so I might grab my dress pants. They're soft and comfy.

Yesterday was kind of slow. I ended up doing casework, which did not thrill me, but I managed. The day seemed to go like molasses and I was very happy when 4pm rolled around. Today, I will be doing delivery updates, so I'll have something to do at least. Hopefully they're at a reasonable level and don't drive me insane.

We played our Frostmaiden game last night and it was bonkers. The party is doing the evil god's tests, so that they can get access to her spellbook. After the first two tests, the party was the walking wounded, with multiple levels of exhaustion. First the bugbear rogue and air genasi fighter went to deal with the test of cruelty. They had to murder some old people for a tribe of Reghed Nomads to eat, as their food stores were gone and they were starving in order to pass the test. They did so reluctantly.

Then, before the test of preservation, the cleric decided to try divine intervention. For this to work, you have to roll below your level on a 100 sided die. So, for them, it was a 14% chance of working. Damned if they didn't roll a 9. All levels of exhaustion, expended spell slots, hit points were restored, and they had all the benefits of a long rest (which meant that they got to level up.). Then they made their way into the test of preservation and totally curb stomped the opposition. Immediately after claiming the spellbook, the two who were in the test decided to attempt to receive the evil god's blessing. One succeeded, one failed, but a well timed counterspell kept them from turning into an ice sculpture.

We wrapped there, and will pick up with exploring the rest of the castle in 2 weeks.

This weekend is going to be a bit long, as my sister is going on vacation to Gettysburg for the weekend. I want her to get to have a vacation, it just is rough for us. I'll be sleeping up in my sister's bed to listen for dad, meaning that we'll be on dad duty 24 hrs a day. It's only for three days, so it's not that bad. I will probably be a tired person on Sunday, though.

We're down to 64 days to Disney, when my sister will have dad 24hrs a day for 9 days. I still feel a little worried about that, but she's really against putting him in respite care for 10 days, so I'm going to try to have faith.

Okay, time to get myself together for work. Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
