beansideIt's Friday! If you saw my earlier post, just ignore that. I was feeling a little down and self pitying. I felt better after some coffee. The gist of it was that I'm chafing under being a full time caretaker and that I hate not having freedom. The upcoming vacation is making things worse, as I can see 10 glorious days of freedom in my future, but it's still 70 days away.
I love my father, but I'm kind of having a bitch eating crackers phase where everything he does annoys me. I honestly don't understand how Jess doesn't bite him some days, seeing as they handle the majority of his care.
Yesterday, I cooked the turkey and hashbrown casserole and pie. It all turned out very well and I was pleased with it. I ate an enormous lunch and skipped dinner, which of course meant my blood sugar decided to drop in the evening, necessitating a super concentrated glass of lemonade.
Today, my sister is going out visiting friends, so we'll be on dad duty all day. Hopefully she doesn't come back too late, though since tomorrow is Saturday, I don't have to get up anyway.
I was mistaken in an earlier post, and we do have two games this weekend, The Waterdeep Dragon Heist game tomorrow and Lost Mine of Phandelver on Sunday! Then, we're squishing in a mid-week Frostmaiden game on Wednesday, which should be entertaining.
No games next weekend as my sister is going on a weekend trip to Gettysburg, and we'll be watching Dad, which makes games impossible.
But for today, I have the new Ursula Vernon book. It's not one of her horror novels, so I'm sure it'll be severely fucked up. Most of hers are. Especially when she's being practical. She's one of the handful of authors I wait for books from.
