Good morning! I slept until 8 again, which was lovely, and very nice of my body and brain to cooperate. I probably could have fallen back asleep for a little longer, but the brain weasels say that 8 is pretty much the latest. After that time, Dad could wake up, and what if my sister doesn't hear him? I had about half an hour of quiet, but now my sister is awake and showing me all of her facebook and twitter feed. Send help.

Yesterday was actually a very nice day off. I relaxed, did not a whole lot until about two, when we started working on dinner. We decided that since we're getting the whole turkey from my friend, we'd cook the turkey breast and have a nice dinner this week, too. We also decided to make the corn pudding rather than waiting for Thanksgiving, because why not? We made the corn pudding first, and then threw the turkey in once it was done. The internet lied to me, and the turkey breast only took about 90 minutes to cook, far from the 2 1/2 hours they told me. I'm glad I was watching it with a meat thermometer handy, or dinner would have been fucked.

While things were cooking, I hooked up the VPN and went over to gomovies.sx and found that they had a pretty excellent cam rip of Wakanda Forever, so I spent my afternoon watching that. It was pretty entertaining, and the dude who played Namor was adorable. Frankly, when that man asks you to burn the world with him, you do it! It wasn't as good as the first Black Panther, but that would have been a high bar to clear. But overall, I'm glad I watched it, and I'm pleased I didn't have to wait six months to see it on Disney plus. For a cam shot version, it was excellent, with very little background noise. The captions were weird, giving the meaning of the line, but not the exact wording, but the sound was pretty good, so it wasn't really a problem.

Then, after dinner, we had the always entertaining Rime of the Frostmaiden, in which the players finally remembered that there was more than one version of the word "rime." The final goal can only be reached by reciting a poem called the Rime of the Frostmaiden, but to get to said poem, you have to complete the big bad's four tests. We got through two, with two more to go when we reconvene in 2 weeks. They've completed two tests that I kind of thought were the more lackluster of the tests, even with some modifications. The next two should be much more interesting, I think. They've decided to split the party, since two of them took some damage during the last test, so only our bugbear rogue is going into the test of Cruelty, and our sorcerer and halfling rogue are doing the test of Preservation. It should definitely be interesting, and honestly, I'm not sure what will happen.

Today, I have absolutely nothing planned. Just going to relax and take it easy. My knee isn't hurting as much today, so maybe when it warms up a touch, I'll try a gentle walk. For now, I'm going to have some leftover corn pudding for breakfast and drink a second cup of coffee. Everyone have a wonderful Saturday!
