beansideAnd it's Thursday, time to go into the office. The big question of the day is how long we'll be staying in the office. The heat wasn't working as of yesterday and they were letting people finish their shift from home. So, it's going to depend if the tech came out or not. It is currently 39 degrees outside, so if they haven't fixed it, you can be sure my team is going to make a stink. I was kind of hoping to wake up to a text saying to stay home, but that has not happened as of yet. I mean, it's only 6, so there's time, but I doubt it, since the "you can go home if you're cold" email did not go out until 3pm yesterday, and it was freezing at least two days prior.
To be honest, it's always a little chilly in the building, to the point that I believe OSHA got involved a few years ago. At that point, they claimed that they kept it cold because the computers worked better that way. After that, the temps crept up a little bit.
Yesterday, I spent most of the day really, really nauseous. I have no idea why, but it sucked. I threw up once, but at Jess' suggestion, some rice and ginger tea seemed to settle things down. I may take a teabag with me, just in case it strikes again.
It's a good thing it settled down, since we hadpoisontaster's monster of the week game last night. Jess was unfortunately having a bad pain day and had to skip, but I was able to play. We had a fun time, and things for our heroes are massively fucked as half the country is after them. I ended up burning a luck point to save the talking cat, and now my character is one step closer to being doomed. She's already somewhat unhinged, so this is not a good thing.
Today I'm due to do train more people on how I work the pending returns queue. I'd much rather doing that while I'm at home, but I shall deal. I've come to the conclusion at this point that this fucking project is going to be my circus and my monkeys whether I like it or not. I feel a little bad doing all this training for people who ostensibly know how to work the queue already. Then again, from some of the notes I've found in the cases, maybe they don't.
Tomorrow we shall have our Frostmaiden game, and that will be awesome. The party seems to be leaning towards taking the fight to the winter goddess and her pet blue dragon. Since they already had one big fight, I'm not sure how this is going to go--some of them are down a lot of spell slots. Plus, a blue dragon can wreck some shit with his breath weapon, and that can't be counterspelled. Oh well, this is entirely up to them, and we'll see what happens.
Okay, time to get myself together for work. No text or call have come in, so I suppose I'm going in. Ew. I've got long sleeves, and I'm going to grab a sweater just in case. Have a terrific Thursday everyone!
