beansideWhy does morning come so early? I had a bitch of a headache last night, and it took me a little time to settle after I put dad to bed, so I did not get quite as much sleep as I could have.
Yesterday was bugfuck. We had over 600 updates, and my team was not up to the challenge. There were over 200 left over, so we're starting this morning at a deficit. Around noon, I asked for help from my team and got one person who was willing to do a few. I needed like four people. Before I left, I went to my former manager, and told him I'd need help today, so we'll see what I get. If it's another busy day, it could be a real bitch. I dislike having so many left over, but I'm doing my best not to stress about it. I wasn't able to get my markets done at all, so hopefully someone is working them. I have decided that I don't actually care.
Ended up making little cocktail hotdogs wrapped in crescent rolls for dinner, because I just wasn't feeling it and they were easy. It's not a particularly nutritious meal, but Dad actually likes it, so I don't generally care. I have no idea what I'm making tonight, I guess we'll see what I feel like doing when I get off from work. Since I'm still sitting here in my pajamas, it's not looking good for anything fancy.
There's only 2 days til D&D. I just have to get through today and then tomorrow in the office and I shall have fun. My players are on a diplomatic mission, which may be a challenge for them. First, of course, it's a three day journey to get to the goblin fortress, and who knows what may befall them in the meantime? There's plenty of enemies who could show up in the meantime. And they're taking three squishy normal people with them who they'll have to protect.
I am not looking forward to going into the office tomorrow. Inevitably, the florescent lights give me a headache, and the chairs make my shoulders and back ache. Plus, pants. No one wants to deal with pants and a bra. Also, since I'm still wearing my mask, it gets really hot and unpleasant, but I'm not likely to give that up any time soon. Especially with the BA.5 variant and Monkeypox. I'd like to avoid that, thank you.
Okay, it's time to get myself together for another fun day of work. Everyone have a lovely Wednesday.
