And the final night of dog and dad watching is over! My sister will arrive home some time this afternoon, and I will be able to sleep in my own bed tonight! And as long as my sister is able to put dad to bed (didn't overdo it and hurt herself), we'll be able to go to bed early, so we can catch up on sleep. I figure that one is 50/50, honestly.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Things went much smoother than I expected. Friday kind of sucked between the dog crying and yelping from his shots and the dentist running so late, but the rest hasn't been bad. We even got in a good game on Saturday!
Yesterday was pretty low-key. It was Dad's birthday, so I ordered cake pops and pie from Yia Yia's bakery. We'll actually celebrate later this week, but I would have felt bad if he didn't have something nice. So, we ordered dinner from Bob Evans and he had a enormous piece of coconut custard pie and we sang. Yoda sang his special ear piercing happy birthday song, so dad was pleased. It probably wasn't much of a birthday, but we tried to make it nice.
Work was mostly boring yesterday. I got my shit done early and did nothing for most of the day. Honestly, there was stuff that I could have done, but I've gotten tired of handling everyone else's shit. If I'm asked to help, I will do it, but otherwise, people should be able to do their damn jobs. Plus, coming up, I'm going to have a week where I'm the only one there between coworker M and J and I, and I will probably be doing the delivery updates as well as my and J's markets. It'll be a long week, and I seriously doubt anyone is going to jump in and help me out, so I'm going on a "what gets done gets done and what doesn't, oh well" mantra. It's not the end of the world if I miss a market or two here and there.
Today will probably be another boring day. The markets never come in early on Monday, if they come in before I leave at all. I do have a one on one this morning, oh joy. I really don't enjoy my manager, so I find it hard to take anything she says as a good suggestion. But, if I want to advance, I've gotta play along. I'm just not feeling it today, though. Then, I have a training this afternoon that is only relevant to people in the stores, but the whole country has to take it anyway. So yeah, fun day.
But every day creeps closer to a three game weekend, so that's nice. One of the first things I do in the morning is go to Roll20 and look at my upcoming games. I like to watch the clock countdown each day as we creep closer. I've agreed to run one more game, this one for Jess' friends from the Undertale discord server they're on. It'll just be a one shot, so that should be fun. I may supplement it with a couple of players from the discord, just so it's not a two person party. While that can be fun, most modules are set up for at least 4-6 players. The big question is "what one shot to run?" I'm going to have to take a look online and see what I can find. I want something light and kind of fluffy, since I don't want to traumatize them right off the bat. The other big question is scheduling. We'll have to see when we can work with everyone's schedules. The scheduling monster is the hardest to defeat!
Okay, guess I'm going to get myself ready for work. Have a great Monday y'all.
