It's a dreary Tuesday here at Casa Beanside. The rain is falling and and low thunder is rumbling. Nothing horrible, just little thunder bumpers that are mostly serving to worry the dog. My sister is chattering away, and I am not yet awake fully. My back is still mega pissed off at me, but it's manageable with a heat wrap firmly affixed.

Work yesterday was, as Mondays usually are, thrilling. There was absolutely no work to do, and we had a bonus team meeting just to be annoying. The team meeting was our meeting to discuss the reorganization and ask any questions. Problem was, the managers still have no answers, so it was a giant waste of time. The one bit of information that we got was that if we're appointed new roles, it'll be based on the competency profile of the job you're doing. Which, since my department all has the same competency profile, means that I, who have six years tenure and have consistently asked for new things to do and expanded my skills, done a thousand extra projects, will be put in the same role as someone who's been here for a year and knows how to update delivery dates on orders. It's entirely bullshit, and I'm so pissed. It just feels like I've been busting my ass for nothing. If I want a better role, I'll have to apply for it and be chosen.

After that revelation, I mostly sat and seethed for the rest of the day. Then, I went and started a flame war on Facebook. Apparently, when you comment "lol, okay Karen" you're bigoted and part of the problem. After I post, I probably will go fan some flames, because at this point, I've gotten most of what I can from that community anyway, and I've got too many Disney communities anyway.

Aside from that, not a whole lot going on. Today should be mostly quiet. The NDRs from yesterday should have come in overnight, so I'll have something to do for a whole half hour. Then, it'll be back to boredom. Oh well. We shall see.

aw, but T, you don't appreciate the pain of underpaid customer service workers not sufficiently kissing their ass to make them feel special! truly the word Karen is the world's biggest problem and not, y'know, the pandemic and the capitalism and the systemic inequality. you darn Millennials with your avocado toasts. :(
