It's Wednesday, which means my last day at home before I have to go into the office. Ugh. The internet has already dropped out once this morning, so we'll see if it wants to be nice today. We usually have so little problems with it that I'm not horribly pissed about this. I guess every company has a few blips here and there.
I really don't feel like going into the office. I know our country manager is the one pushing for more in-person interaction, but frankly, it's asinine. Work was getting done at the same rate at home, without the risk of infecting all of us. I'm no longer used to fluorescent lights, so last Thursday, I had such a headache at the end of the day. I don't have a choice but to do it, but I definitely don't like it.
It's funny, originally I was thinking it might be nice to get out of the house once a week, but after I did it, I'm definitely not in favor. And of course, the day I'm scheduled to go in is the one shitty day of the week.
I had ordered some Pride shirts from Hot Topic, but apparently they're the mythical tiny 2xl size. They won't even go over my head. I'm very sad about this, as I was going to wear it tomorrow for the start of Pride at work. I will be back on the hunt for a good tshirt, I suppose. I won't have it for tomorrow, but I'll keep looking. At least I have my pride pins on my backpack. We're having a big shindig on the 28th, so hopefully, I'll have one in time for that.
Today, I'm back up on the inbox, so that's always fun. The coworker who is primary is slow as shit, so I'm sure I'll be doing some work today. Maybe it'll make my day go faster.
My manager wants me to speak up more in the team chat, and wants me to lead a meeting, as she thinks I've hit a plateau on my attempts to become a Team Lead. I don't agree with her, but I guess I'll do what she wants. She said that she doesn't believe in giving Exceeds Expectation on the mid year review, so I'm officially meeting expectations. Which blows.
Okay, time for me to start thinking about work for the morning. Everyone have a good Wednesday!
