beanside | I got a faint smell of cheap perfume and a hint of gasoline.

Back from vacation, sad. We decided to just pack up and leave early, since we would just have been anxiously waiting til checkout time. So, a short drive later, we're back home, where the dog barked himself silly, chastising us for being away. He's still at it as I'm typing.

The kitties were also happy to see us, and to my shock, Sam survived the weekend. My sister said that he was quite sassy while we were away, and fought her on giving him his antibiotic, which makes me happy.

Jess is currently taking Yoda for walkies, and I'm getting ready to give Sam his med for the morning. Then, I will probably go foraging for something to eat because a piece of bread with sausage gravy is not going to last that long.

Our last day, we did a fair amount. We went into the city proper and hit the Swedish candy store, which and spent way too much. Then, we hit the Strasburg Creamery for the good ice cream. Then we went back to the hotel for a few hours and ordered lunch. After we ate, we went to the wine outlet and got thank you bottles for my sister, and to the Bath and Bodyworks outlet so Jess could get some new smellies. Then we came back and ordered dinner to be delivered. Doordash worked out very well for our trip. We found an amazing Mexican place that we ordered from on Thursday, and we had that again for Jess' birthday dinner at their request.

Now, it's back to reality. I've got two more days of vacation before I have to go back to work. Then, on Thursday, it's back to the office.

But we're home safely, and I have a couple more days of rest before I have to deal with work. Everyone have a good Sunday!
