It's Monday! And I'm off from work! I have my ENT appointment this morning, so at some point I'm going to have to get myself together. I'm actually for once not horribly anxious about the appointment. I don't know how they diagnose this shit, but I guess I'll find out. It would be nice if they had an easy solution, but I don't know. It took so long to get an appointment with any specialist that the dizziness has sort of become background noise. I'd like it to go away, but I'm managing. I'd like for someone to have a plan to fix it before February at least. I'm planning to go on rides at Disney and the dizziness could be somewhat unpleasant on the coasters. But I suppose that's what they make dramamine for.
Yesterday was pretty quiet. I did my stuff in the morning, and then kind of just chilled until the afternoon, when my former manager called with something for me to do. That took up the last hour and a half of the day, which was kind of nice. And in the process, I learned a new thing! (Hopefully, I was doing it right.)
Then we had D&D, which is always awesome. As last time, I'm not going to summarize, since the game is relatively new. I will say that the players have backed themselves into a completely twisted timeline of things that need to be done, and each rests on the others, and there was a good thirty minute pause while they all figured out how they could do what needed to be done. It's kind of a twisted mess, but I think they figured it out, maybe?
Dad was especially annoying last night. My sister was out doing laundry when we started the game, so 15 minutes before, we asked Dad if he needed anything. He said no, he was good. Two minutes into the game, he comes toddling down the hall needing to pee. Jess went on mute and asked him what was up. After he goes, he looks at them and says "while you're here, could you empty my bag?" As Jess would say, "<i>My dude</i>, we asked you if you needed anything. Maybe that would have been the time for all this?" By the time we finished and went to put him to bed, we were thoroughly in "bitch eating crackers" territory. I came out halfway through and announced that I needed our vacation to be now.
I got to sleep in today, thanks to my lovely spouse getting up instead of me. It was nice to sleep in a little bit later. I probably could have stayed in a little bit longer, but I woke up to my sister leaving, and only heard the sliding door move one way. (Presumably I was asleep for the first part of it.) But in my sleepy, paranoid little brain, I decided that the door was stuck/had come off track, and I was needed, so I got up. Of course, all was well when I stumbled into the living room. Go figure.
Okay, time to start getting myself together to go to the doctor. Gotta look like a competent adult! Have a good Monday everyone!
