beansideAnother day off, and awake by 6am. I stayed in bed until 8, because I just couldn't bring myself to be up that early. Of course, Boodle came in a couple of times to yell at me, which definitely made that two hours restful. She hurtles all of her weight on my stomach and gives a little war cry. When you try to pet her, she yells again and then stampedes down off you to run up the stairs hopefully. It's hard to resist. Eventually, you just have to give in to her.
My sister has been awake for three minutes, and I've already been shown her Facebook memory of the day. Which granted was a very sweet Yoda howling, but still. I am not ready for interaction yet. I've only had one cup of coffee for fuck's sake.
We went to Mission BBQ for dinner last night, and I had their very tasty Black Plate special. It was a smoked ribeye with a Hawaiian glaze. I'm a big fan of pineapple, so it was fairly awesome. Of course, I promptly ate too much and was spectacularly sick (which is a fun Rybelsus trick), but I'd totally eat it again, just less of it.
Took Dad to his appointment, which was not horrible. He did okay, though by the time he got home, I think he was pretty tired. Hell, I was pretty tired, too! Because it was dead center of the day, we didn't get to watch anything, so next week.
Today, we shall go to pick up a small Walmart order. I love that you can order food and non-food items. We have some food in the order and a swim cover-up, because while I might be brave enough to wear the bikini top in the pool, I am not brave enough to trot through the hallways of the hotel to get there.
If I feel like it, we'll hit the fedex store, so we can send my sandals back. I don't know how ambitious I'm feeling today. Then a quick stop at Walgreens for my prescriptions and we'll be done.
I don't really feel like going to work tomorrow, but alas.
Okay, now I have taken the dog out three separate times, and I suppose it's time to start my day. Have a good Saturday everyone!
