beansideJust that soon, we're back to a Friday! My favorite day of the week. Jess has the dog out for a walk, and Dad is still asleep, so all is quiet at the moment. Soon they'll get back and we'll have spousal coffee time until it's time to get dad up at 9:30. (He likes to watch Kelly and Ryan which comes on at 10.) Then, maybe we'll watch something! We've only got like a million things ready to go, including Our Flag Means Death, Spider-man and Batman. So maybe we'll get to one of them today.
My overalls came yesterday, and they are fucking adorable and fit perfectly. I love them. I will definitely wear them for whatever errands we need to do tomorrow. The rest of my stuff says that it will be coming next week on Monday and Tuesday, so I will be waiting impatiently. Though Jess' sports bra may come before then, which would be nice. They could try it out and put it in the wash for Sunday if it works.
After watching some videos and asking some questions on the Polynesian Resort Facebook group, we've upgraded our stay to a club level room. It'll give us a special building as well as a constant buffet of food from 7am-10pm. Mid afternoon is just snacks, and late evening is just desserts, but it'll cover us for breakfast and dinner and cut our food bill down immensely. Of course it's more expensive, but I think we can make it work for us. It'll also save on having to get an instacart order of sodas and breakfast foods, since we can simply stop in the morning, grab food and then head out to the monorail to the parks.
I know Disney is a bit of a cult for their employees, but I've really been impressed when I've called about the room. The cast members I've spoken to have been enthusiastic, pleasant and best of all, not pushy. When I called yesterday to price out the club rooms, they gave me the rundown on what club rooms entailed, and when I said I'd have to think about it, they didn't pressure or give me the "those rooms go fast" line. For a call center, that's pretty amazing. Now it's just waiting till June so we can add the tickets and whatever package we find to it.
Now onto the May trip! We've booked a two room suite in case we're able to schedule D&D for that week. It would be two weeks out from our next game and I can't think of a better start to our vacation, honestly.
