I gotta say, I am not enjoying the latest thing where people I used to write porn about are dying. This is two within one week, and I'd like it to stop. I started out in wrestling fandom--that's where I met Jess, and the Kliq and all members therein were my favorite playground. With all of his demons, I always knew Scott Hall was on borrowed time, but still stung. Then, this morning, I got the word that Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters also passed. It's just a little strange and sad.

Nothing planned today, we're just going to relax and take it easy. Which undoubtedly means that my sister will drive us insane and we'll need to make a brief escape. Or maybe just a mid-day nap. Right now, it's just Jess and I awake, which is always nice. I like having time with them, even if it's sitting quietly while I work on this, and they help to fill out the D&D Trello board.

Yesterday was equally dull. I reviewed some notes pre-game and then spent the rest of the day piddling online. I've joined two Disney tip communities on Facebook and am enjoying the number of people who don't seem to be able to google any-fucking-thing. Seriously, so many idiots. Some of it has been good tips, and people talking about what they ended up doing on their vacation and how the various tools worked for them, which I enjoy. (I can live vicariously for the next 316 days.)

I think we've got the May vacation basically nailed down. We're going to stay at a tiny inn in Strasburg, PA that offers nice rooms and a cooked to order breakfast. We'll go to the outlets and see what we can find, and mostly just relax. It'll be a nice break for us. The only question is whether we want the room with the big-ass shower, complete with bench and rainfall showerhead, or the jetted tub?

Last night's game was wild. I'm not going to do my usual recap, because the entire session was one big boss fight. Suffice it to say that it was tough. Many people went down, only to be brought back up with quick heals. In the end, the party was triumphant, and limped back to town having killed the first out of three of the big boss' forms. By the end, everyone had been through the wringer, but I think there was definitely a sense of accomplishment. I believe at various points in the combat, I took out our sorcerer, our fighter, our paladin, one of our rogues and our cleric. It was a lot. Fortunately, they were just unconscious, not dead, so a quickly dropped healing spell or potion got them back on their feet. The downside with the bosses is that they also do big damage. It was good that they found a opponent they couldn't just curb stomp.

Okay, I believe I'm going to go grab some more coffee. Y'all have a good Saturday!

There's a really good escape room in Strasburg if you are interested in that kind of thing while you are there. https://klues.com/ We did The Mad Scientist room and loved it.
