It's Friday! Yay, I have survived another work week! And tonight is D&D, even better!
My sister got a ride to work, so I have the car for today, so I'm going to try to get some stuff done. I need to call Dad's doctor to make sure his prescription is ready for pick up and maybe I'll finally drop off the Comcast shit. Then, I can pay the final bill and be done with that. I'm debating on the merits of going to the Amish Market, but we'll see how tired I am. I really could go for their prime rib steaks, but it's always so busy up there. It'll probably depend on whether the doctor has his script ready to go. If I have to wait til later in the day, it's more likely I'll go to the Amish market.
We've ordered out the last two days, and two days running, I've been disappointed in my food. Okay, not all of it. The Bang Bang Shrimp from Bonefish grill was wonderful, but the shrimp and scallop scampi had no flavor. The seafood was all cooked perfectly, but it just didn't jump up and grab me. Then, last night, we ordered from the Crackpot, where we've gone repeatedly and had good food. I really wanted beef, but Dad wanted fish and chips, so we went there, since they had prime rib. It was gross. Tough and leathery. Overcooked and overseasoned to the point that it was nearly inedible. Definitely not what you'd expect from prime rib. It made me genuinely sad, because I was really looking forward to it. My sister says I should order a steak from somewhere that specializes in it on her dime tonight. Problem is, I have to pick her up from work, and the places I'd want a steak from don't deliver, so it would either be Outback or All American Steakhouse. Outback overseasons their steaks (for my tastes) and All American is kind of expensive, so part of me is balking at spending her money like that.
We definitely have to eat out tonight, since I'll be picking her up, and we have a game at 7. Doesn't give me any time to cook. But I'll have to see whether I want to get something cheap today and then go over to Longhorn for dinner tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we'll probably go to the dispensary, and maybe grab lunch. Aside from that, not a whole lot planned. We have Monster of the Week on Sunday, so tomorrow I'll do a little more prep on that.
Okay, time to get my ass in gear. Have a good Friday everyone!
