beansideIt's morning, and I've been awake for a while. I did not sleep worth a damn last night, I was awake a lot between fitful bouts of dozing. I'm okay now, but later, I'm going to be crashing--Probably just in time for our D&D game at 5:30, so that'll be fun.
Yesterday was one of those days. The morning and early afternoon were fine, and boring. I went and picked up the antibiotics and started Dad and I on them, because the one I was taking was definitely not working--I was starting to get obvious swelling, so time for something stronger. I got another script called in, so it's not like I'm taking the pills away from him. My sister went to her friend's birthday lunch (I'm not really comfortable with it, but what am I going to do?), Jess and I watched more Project Runway. Sister brought us dinner home, which was very tasty.
Then, towards the end of the evening, I hear a loud curse from the bathroom where dad is. He's leaning against the wall, off balance, so I helped him get upright, and we go into his bedroom. He had gotten pee on his clothes, so I helped him into other pants, and he has trouble standing up to pull them up. At this point, I'm freaking out. What if I didn't get him the antibiotic in time? What if he has an infection? He refuses to go to the hospital to be checked.
He goes back out to his chair without incident, and we give him dinner. I go downstairs to freak out and cry because another one of those things that has been balancing is slipping. (And can I just say that I really appreciate the Encanto creators for giving me the visual in Surface Pressure?)
Apparently, by the time he went to bed, he was fine, but it has me totally freaked out, thus the lack of sleep. I guess we'll see how he's feeling today. Again, nothing I can really do about it if he's not willing.
On the plus side, my taxes finally processed, and the website says I should have my refund this week, which will be awesome. That night, we shall splurge for dinner, and the rest will be used for bills and go into the savings. We're going to get Bonefish grill, because I really want Bang Bang shrimp. I've never had them before, but they sound amazing. I'm just hoping they're just the right amount of spicy. Covid has made me more tolerant of spice because things still mostly don't taste quite right.
Okay, I suppose I will consider getting myself together for work now. I really don't feel like it, but I'm going to do it anyway, because I'm an adult.
