Back to Monday again. We're having snow! If my sister didn't have to go to work in it, I'd probably enjoy it. Going to put my little heater under my desk on and watch the flakes fall. On the plus side, my sister is going to take my RAV4 so she'll have 4 wheel drive. We're supposed to get 3-6", which is Maryland-speak for "we have no fucking idea how much snow you'll get." Which is kind of par for the course around here. Right now, it's not laying in the street, so it shouldn't be bad.
Yesterday was pretty quiet at work. I almost had to do delivery updates, but coworker M. decided to do them. Which was good, because apparently coworker S. has Covid and there were three days worth of updates in the box. That's what she gets for not wanting to do all the markets. Instead, I did them, and had them done by 12pm. Then I helped out with doing delivery updates. Which is not my favorite thing to do, but I felt bad that M. was getting slammed. I ended up updating over 150 orders, which is not bad. I'll probably offer to help out today as well, since the markets won't come in until later in the afternoon.
Coworker J is back today, which is good. I've missed him the last 12 days! It's been very quiet on the days that other people are off. The problem inherent with our work is that it's long stretches of nothing to do followed by everything to do. So, it's not like I wasn't semi-busy, it's just that I had no one to bitch about the work with. Everyone else I talk to are in different departments.
Next up in the games rotation is my superhero game on Friday night. Gotta finish writing up a plotline for that one. It won't take long, since I'll probably plot that about as tightly as I do the Monster of the Week game. I have no doubt, since most of my players are the same as MotW, that it'll end up going off the rails. The overall conceit is that the big bad had a displacer ray, and has zapped all the major heroes out of this dimension, into another one. All that's left is the teenage superpowered individuals, who are going to be dealing with a lot of villains coming out of the woodwork to take over Halcyon City. In the meantime, they're still teenagers, with teenage problems. Secret identity or no? School? What about family? Do they know that they're superheroes? It's a lot of meaty plot hooks.
Okay, it is now time for more coffee and to get dressed (such as it is) for work. Have the best Monday you can, everyone!
