Last night, we went to get our sofas. Holy shit, they're bigger than I thought. We picked up a few other things as well, of course. One doesn't go to IKEA and just get one thing. Boodle will now have a sheepskin for her other perch by the side window, and we got a new runner rug, because Sam decided that the old one was the perfect litter box for him. (He was a feral cat, and litter boxes have never been hid priority.) I'm sure he'll want to use the new one as well, but hopefully we can keep him off for a few months.)
The actual couches were kind of a goat rodeo. They didn't really fit well on the cart, so we had to flip them on their side and use two carts to get them to the checkout. I am so sore today from all the pulling and tugging involved. Apparently, they weigh about 103 lbs. As we were waiting for my brother in law to show up, a summer storm blew up, so we decided to just have them delivered, rather than deal with hauling them in a downpour. So, they'll be delivered on Monday, and we'll have to find a spot for them to sit until Saturday when we can try to put them together. That is going to be a shitshow, but I'm excited for my new couches. They're very comfortable.
We ended up going for the boring gray cover, as they didn't have the colorful one I wanted, and only one of the green and white striped one. On the plus side, it probably won't show fur as much as a lighter color would.
I also got a can of pear cider and some of the good chocolate, so I'm set for today.
I've got to finish my markets this morning, and then the day will probably be boring. I will probably watch more Busch Gardens park vlogs on my cell phone while I mess around in the inbox.
Our team meeting yesterday was more of a training, so my coworkers didn't really have time to bitch, which was nice.
We are now at 50 days til vacation. While it's a nice round number, I'd like it to be a smaller round number.
Okay, everyone have a fantastic Wednesday!
