For me at least, it's halfway through the workweek.

So, we failed the pressure test. It's probably a good thing we don't have gas right now, because we have a huge leak. Not surprising, as the gas pipes are old as balls. Unfortunately, that means we had two options. First, they could go leak hunting, with no guarantee that it would be fixable, because of the old pipes. If it was fixable, this would be a delaying tactic, as other pipes are currently corroding, even if they aren't leaking. This would cost probably around $2,000. Second, we could get an entirely new system, which will be flexible piping that would be easy to fix, and hold up better. This will come with a full inspection and will make BGE happy, as we'd be less likely to have a leak in the future. This is $4800. We're going to go with the second option, even though it means digging into the savings more, because no one really wants to risk the leaks.

So, that happens Friday, which eats my day off right the hell up, but it has to be done. The dog is going to be a wreck though, as he gets put in the bedroom, because he is not friendly to people on his turf. Since I don't know how long this will take, he'll of course be let out to go out, and maybe on walkies. (I don't really like people on my turf either for that matter.)

At work, they just dropped a file with over 500 back orders that need to be cancelled and rebooked if possible. This of course was dumped on me and the other dude who does all the special projects. We work well together, so we should be able to get it knocked out this week. We finished the first tab on the spreadsheet, which had 60 orders. Of course the next one has 253, so that'll be slower. This in addition to our normal work, of course. Which isn't that big a deal for me, as my normal work doesn't take that long. It's just such a boring, fiddly project. We've done projects like this before, but not this size. Our boss swears he'll try to get us help, but I'm not holding my breath on it.

I got up to get some more coffee, and when I came back, Yoda sighed and put his head on my lap. I am blessed by the doggo! Surely this shall be a good day.

Ouch.

Still, whole-house heating is a good thing. Best of luck with the installation!
