beansideThe weekend never lasts long enough. I'd work a 10 hour day if it meant I got 3 days in a row off. *sigh*
It was a good weekend, though. Had my souvlaki on Friday. It was delicious. Watched some Umbrella Academy as well. We're 3/4 of the way through the second season, and shit just got real. I've been spoiled for some of it, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they resolve things, because right now, things are dire. It's funny, at the beginning, I was sure which characters I was going to love, and that there were going to be other characters I disliked. It hasn't happened that way. I thoroughly adore those chaos muppets.
Pupper was groomed yesterday, and looks all shaven and fancy. He seems to really like his groomer, so that's a bonus. Ms. Paulette always does an amazing job with him, and we are very grateful (and tip commensurately). He goes in a disreputable shaggy dog, and comes out looking all sleek and happy. It doesn't hurt that he inevitably comes out without a poopy butt, which has to feel better to him.
Once the pup was ensconced at the groomer, we treated ourselves to lunch at El Trovador I got their namesake lunch, which is beef and chicken fajitas, plus four enormous shrimp, plus barbecued ribs. SO much food. So tasty. Downside, it came just as I was starting my game, so I had to mute a bit while I munched, but it worked out.
As usual, had a lot of fun playing Masks. My character is pragmatic to a fault. He doesn't have any real offensive capabilities (illusions and teleporting, but he tries. Lord does he try. He managed to get a hit in on the big bad, so that's something. Of course, then she got a hit on him, and he panicked, and teleported the whole floor outside with them. The seventh floor of a 25 floor building. Whoops. Well, we certainly got away from the boss fight we were nowhere near ready for. She was too busy trying to keep the building from collapsing to worry about three teenagers, no matter how powerful they were.
Today, I am as usual up early. I know I'm going to have extra work today. I am not supposed to, but I set up access on my tablet for work mail. I don't usually look at it, but the title of the email, and the first couple lines show up in preview. There was a "you did this last week, but we have more, can you do them on Sunday?" email. So, that's my day sorted.
