Today, I am not ready for morning. I swear, tomorrow, I won't be able to stay in bed past 7, but this morning, when I have to get up, I felt like I could have lolled in bed until noon.
I'm tired of this headache. It's rare I get the long migraines, but it's not unheard of. I would like it to stop. It's not bad this morning, so hopefully, it's finally on the way out. I blame Maryland weather. Today, my neck and shoulder are the really pissed body parts, so that's fun.
I've got a ton of work to do today. I started a list of cancellations yesterday, but I have half of it to finish today. Yesterday was "hey, do you mind doing this special project" day. My managers were practically tag teaming me. I appreciate it, really. It's nice to know that I'm thought of highly. It's me and one of my coworkers who consistently get the extra stuff to do, because we get shit done. But in this case it was A. Lot. 70 orders that need to be cancelled and refunded, because for reasons unknown, the bot they have couldn't do them. We've had such a high number of orders that we can't fulfill them all, so some end up being cancelled, rather than being moved into October for delivery. The pandemic kind of slammed our eCommerce division and we're still trying to frantically catch up. Most of our desks and table tops are Out of Stock, and we're trying desperately to find new suppliers who can keep up, and upgrade our warehouses and stock centers to cope with increased demand. So the flurry of things that need to be done will undoubtedly continue for a while.
When I get paid again, I might have to look into some of these virtual tours. They look interesting, and some are in places I've always wanted to see.
I'll leave you with the Lion of Love from the Eurovision Song Contes: The Story of Fire Saga, because Dan Stevens was awesome.
