Still coughing up a lung. The fatigue has caught up with me, too. I think I spent more time horizontal than I did in any other position yesterday. I’m beginning to feel like Beth from Little Women, laying consumptively on my fainting couch.
Still running a fever, but it seems a little better than it was.
Have I mentioned how much I hate that I’m a statistic? Something about that just annoys the shit out of me. But lo, I was case one thousand, two hundred, twenty four.
I’m feeling guilty for being so sick. I mean, I still have a pretty mild case, but I feel worse than I have since I had pneumonia. (The pneumonia still wins, because I can still cross a room without gasping for air.). But Dad had such a mild case, and Jess is on the mend, and here I sit.
I have an amazing doctor. He drives me crazy about the weight issue (I believe in health at every size, he does not), but when you have a problem, he’s who you want in your corner. He’s been video calling me every day, including yesterday to keep an eye on me. He also gave me codeine cough syrup, which has helped me to sleep. It’s nice to know that he’s there with steroids and antibiotics if they become needed.
And now, it is time for a nebulizer, as I’m coughing my face off.
