I can't even begin to express how sad it makes me that this hasn't been updated in so long. I am not exactly hard to please where fic is concerned, I am willing to give anything a shot; I have certain writing requirements, but am otherwise pretty content to be entertained. However, it does take a lot to get me truly engaged and attached. I will read anything (within reason), but it takes a lot for me to get immersed in a world and really start losing myself in story.
I'm not just reading along to get to the inevitable conclusion, I am enjoying the ride. I don't just want to get to an end that's all tied up with a neat little bow, I want to see how it gets there. The characters aren't just a means to an end of a story, they are involved and developed and I am actually attached to the different perspectives.
I guess I need to start checking instead of just blindly following a rec list, because discovering that this work hasn't been updated in YEARS is as frustrating as starting a show on Netflix and then not knowing until you finish a cliffhanger season finale that the show was cancelled and you never will get the resolution.
I just wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed marathon-ing this piece and that it's not easy to really pull me in as much as you succeeded to in this work. If you DO have any intention of continuing this I know that there are plenty of fans who would be elated to hear it, if not, more's the pity and my imagination will just have to try and fill in the gaps (although I am sure that I can't do you justice).
