Oh, Sam. This can't end well. If a demon told you to do it, and it "feels good?" It's probably a bad thing.

The opening scene with Dean in the coffin kind of made me want to hyperventilate on his behalf.

I loved the scene with Bobby and Dean. I loved how fucked up Bobby was over Dean's death. I loved the anguish in Bobby's eyes when he opened the door and saw Dean there. And the bit with the holy water...hee!

I loved Sam and "Kristy." I loved that Sam took Bobby's word that it was really Dean. And the HUG!!!

Fuck, I missed those boys.

Well, hellooo there Pamela. Damn. Sorry your eyes got burnt out. Nnnngh. Hot like burning. (all those who think John tapped that at some point?)

The demons were particularly well done. I loved that Dean's got a set of brass balls, suddenly. I mean, he would have spit at them or whatever, before. Now, he's a little darker, a little harder. It made me feel all tingly.

Oh, Sammy. That was icky. The way she kept puking the black smoke, and the...ew. However? The whole, "'go to hell.' 'Funny, I was about to say the same thing to you'" exchange? HOT LIKE BURNING.

And then...Castiel. Ugh, creepy. Totally amoral, alien, and freaky. And worse, utterly convinced of his righteousness. *flaily hands* I LOVE IT!

In conclusion, Can haz next Thursday now?

Pamela was like the hottest chick they've had on this show in forever. Guh. I hope they bring her back all burnt-out blind eyes and all!

Dude, waking up trapped in a coffin is like a huge nightmare of mine! For a few minutes after the show started I wondered if THIS was Dean's hell. He'd "save" himself only to get thrust back into a horrible situation until he learned there was no rescue, there was only panic and pain.

And I love Busty Asian Beauties. *g* Thank you show for giving loyal fans who've seen all the episodes, little moments like this.

I'm really hoping that the show lets Dean go a little wonky this season. I'll be annoyed if his time in Hell just get ignores. You can't etch-a-sketch Hell! I need Dean to have some viceral reactions to his time there. I want some PSTD dammit!

And I dug the casting of Castiel. He pulled it off well. Now I'm no Bibilical scholar but everything I know about old school angels show them to be scary mofos and not little praying cherubs. I'm not sure I love the "God saves Dean" plot line, but I do like the idea that IF we're exploring angels it's the scary old testiment warriors of God kind and not the beautiful ladies in white robes kind.

you know what i find hilarious? if you search for castiel on google. one of the sites that pops up is this site (http://www.crystalcavern.com/index.html?target=Archangels_Angels_Cabriel_to_Cupra.html&lang=en-us) which lists that Castiel is "An Angel of Thursday" and that's it.

Exactly! They're not evil... but they're definitely not human. The eyes burning out thing I kinda saw coming though. It's like, um, no, if they warn you you don't want to see them, you probably don't. Oops.

And, uh, let's hope Castiel is better at repairing his hosts than demons are. Always going for the shotgun, Dean.

I love the self-denial going on in this episode. With Sammy \o/ and as for Dean. Yeah. God's always been patient with those who are big on the denial thing *flails*

That cafe scene was awesome. Old west showdown material. And Dean didn't fly off the handle or make half-arsed threats. Called their bluff and just walked out *glee*

I totally forget to comment about the exchange in my LJ about Pamela flirting with Dean so badly, then inviting Sam! Dude, go there go there!! :) And yes, Pam was beautiful, fiesty, had a personality, I liked her. Sadly no eyes now.

oooh, something else I wish I had said. But yes, that's what I loved about that scene. Dean... he was just - stone in the face of the demons, like he's been to hell, what worse could there be? :) I'm happy the show is back, very happy.

Also, I'm kind of hot for the idea that last season was all heavy with Dean feeling like he's not good for much beyond saving Sam. And first thing this season, God's proxy is telling Dean he's WORTHY, and we get to see Dean freak the frick out about it.

This episode made me go search out wing fic so now I'm reading leonidaslion's Angel 'Verse which is HUGE by the way. It's also fabulous. I got very few hours of sleep last night because I couldn't stop reading the damn thing. It talks about Dean being a martr though and I have to say I agree with her. He is. He really is.

Here's the thing about the next life though. They've established that demons are just regular souls who have been down in hell so long that they've forgotten their humanity. Does that mean angels are humans who've been in heaven so long that their will has been subjugated by the divine?
