(no subject)

I need a nap. And possibly a drink. Sadly, I can't have either right now.

Most of all, I need a vacation. Not a long one. Just a couple of days in the land of not here.

Grandmom's back at Good Sam for a tuneup with the CHF as of yesterday. Jess is doing a little better with the migraines/fibro, thanks to some new drugs that seem to be collectively making her more functional. I'm...wiped.

It's like now that things are settling, I've lost my get up and go completely. Sinuses are still a collective fuck up, ulcer's been flaring here and there. *shrug* Go figure. So yeah, I want to go away for a long weekend. I've gotta find somewhere with a spa that I can afford.

Understand, it's not like I feel particularly bad. I just feel worn. Ah well. Hopefully, later in the month we'll be able to get away for our anniversary. 4 years handfasted, omg. 7 together. If [livejournal.com profile] plaidder is right and gay relationships are like dog years, we've been together 21 years!

*hugs lots*

Gods but I understand. I get this way every couple of months. Between having a 4 year old, who's home a good chunk of the time and mostly not napping anymore (gods I miss naptime!) and working nights and weekends when I'm not home with the 4 year old, I find I'm tired all the time. It sucks and I go through the same thing of just wanting to go away, lounge by the beach or go to a spa just to recharge.

I hope you find someplace!

*nod* Yeah, pretty much. When I start to feel snappish at my job, which I love, I know it's time to look for somewhere to go.

I hope you are able, next time you need it, too!

OMG, that's terrible. But funny.

Happy anniversary!

In her utterly awesome A Straight Person's Guide to Gay Etiquette (http://www.io.com/~wwwomen/queer/etiquette/intro.html"), she says that since gay unions have so much outside pressure on them from the outside, a year should be counted as seven. *grin*

*sigh* Department of Redundancy Department, that's me.

She might, for instance, drop a reference to her "girlfriend" into the conversation and then continue casually onward without commenting, explaining or batting an eyelash. You, certain that if she had really meant to inform you that she was regularly sinning against God and man with another woman she would have said something a little more dramatic, may then assume she meant this in the sense of "female chum." She now thinks she's out to you, whereas you still think it's a shame she has to keep bringing her roommate to company functions.

Ha! This is actually useful to me. My wife has, over the years, had trouble with coworkers who appear not to understand no matter how many times she mentioned her partner and children and Pride. A little peek into their minds...

Probably, exactly because things are settling, you're feeling free to let go and crash down...do try and get some rest, and YAY for your 7 years together/4 years handfasting and all the great fic we get! ;)

*hugs you*

Congratulations on the anniversary! Sinuses suck, they're gods way of punishing us for not amusing him enough. If we've just dance for the puppet master a little bit more, we wouldn't have these issues.

*hugs* I tend to see that worn-down feeling as a good reason to take a personal day or two and just take care of yourself.

Vacation would be nice. I've got like 11 days lined up which would be awesome.. except that I'm going to be using them all for not sleeping.
