When I looked at my titles, I absolutely cannot believe I've never used a line from Something Just Like This! With how badly the song ate my brain not too long after it came out, I'm kind of amazed. What's even funnier is that I used to loathe Coldplay. (I've since softened my stance.) So that fact that I adhered to this one is strange. That's okay, though. Though I have to admit, I still like the covers of Clocks better. I'm especially fond of the instrumental version by the 2Cellos. Funnier thing? We've seen Coldplay in concert. They were the second headliner at a festival we went to. We sat (suffered) through them for the Foo Fighters (it was a weird festival).

Yesterday was pretty quiet. I went and got my hair trimmed, and went out to pick up our pizza, and that was about all I did. The dog kindly hogged the other half of the couch, so Jess couldn't even sit next to me to watch the GBBO. No Party week for us yesterday.

I decided that I didn't want to wait for my psych appointment to get some potential help with ADHD. Honestly, I've been struggling so hard at work, I didn't feel like I had time to waste, so I set up a virtual appointment with a clinic this morning. I'm not sure how it's going to go, but maybe they'll be able to help me out. My appointment is at 11:30, so I'm hoping to be able to get the pills by 12:30. It'll be a bit late to try it, but I probably will anyway. We'll see. I want to know how it effects me before I take it on a work day if possible, and I kind of feel like tomorrow, when I'll be alone in the center with my trainer is a big day. So if I can be medicated for that, it would be awesome (assuming it works for me).

I'm a little anxious about tomorrow. It's going to be a lot, I think. On one hand, the other trainees being out there may be helpful for me, because I won't feel like I'm holding her back. On the other, it's a lot of pressure.

One exciting thing! Apparently, Baltimore City has a German Christmas Market from now until the weekend before Christmas. This weekend is opening weekend, and next week, it's going to be buuuugfuck with the holiday, so we're going the first weekend in December. It looks really fun, with some amazing food. I've never been to a Christmas Village, but Jess is old hat, having gone a lot when they were in Chicago. I'm really excited! It's still 2 weeks away, but that just gives me time to plot and plan.

We played Strahd last night, and no one died! Which was a fucking miracle, because the dice were squarely on the side of the DM. Doesn't usually happen, but I was rolling critical hits left and right. Thankfully, a couple members of the party have features that allow them to negate crits, but there was one that took our Monk right down to 15 hit points. (Had the crit not been negated, she would have been at minus 25, I think. When you roll a crit, everything is doubled, so it would have been bad. It was still a TON of damage, but not 58 points of damage. It was only 36. :)

Today is Monster of the Week. I wrote a lot on it yesterday, and may take another pass before my appointment today, just to make sure of what I've got. Depending on what the players want to do, this could take one or two or even three sessions. It's the big bad of the last two years of play time, so I don't want to rush to the fight. They've got plans to make, and people to talk to before the portal to the hells opens up. Here's hoping it goes well!

I mean, the nice thing is, this game is actually 3 years old. And I love the people on the server. They're kind and generous and quick to add a quip or insight. And I adore all my groups, but of all of them, this one may be the most cohesive. They're all dear friends, and I love playing with them. (I love all my groups, mind you, but some are just like capturing lighting in a bottle--rare and precious.) There have been character arcs, y'all.

Okay, going to get myself semi together. Everyone have a perfect Saturday!
