Today, was one of those rare days when. I woke up with the alarm and actually didn't resent being awake. Does that mean that it's going to be a good day? It would be nice.
Yesterday was fine, just slow. My minions were dragging like they had a limit on how much they could do, and we were getting. updates in at a pretty good clip. I only had 2 out of my usual 3 minions, which sucked. I know they're not going to be finished what I gave them last night, which is just going to impact today's updates. I hate to ask for help from the team, but I may have to.
I committed a managerial action again, after telling my team that I was most assuredly not our manager's stand-in. In last weeks managerial action, I'd gone to one of the market managers who oversee the various places we serve, and asked for a cheat sheet of the corresponding market and their numbers. On our reports, they tend to only do it by number, and when you have a big report with multiple markets and different people who do those markets, it makes it hard to know what you're responsible for.
In looking at that, we found that we've added some warehouses, which no one was assigned to. But we also didn't have an up to date assignment sheet. So, I made a chart of the LSCs, and shared it, then we all went and claimed the ones were assigned. That left three markets that no one had. I didn't assign it, but I did point out that some people probably couldn't take any more, and y'know what, my team got there. All markets are assigned, and we have a shared document that people can refer to if there are any questions. I was very proud of us.
Today, hopefully it'll be quiet, and we can get the leftover updates done quickly, and not have a ton left over.
After work, I get to go see Dad. Hopefully he's in a good mood.

poisontaster is going to run. I'm playing an Oath of Redemption Paladin. She left her rural and kind of shitty home to make her fortune, and fell in with a bad crowd, became a bit of a thug. A chance encounter with a cleric showed her the error of her ways, and she became a holy warrior, trying to make up for past misdeeds. It's the total opposite of what I normally play (a chaos muppet) so this should be fun to run a character who can fight, but will try a peaceful resolution first.
