It is Thursday, and it's the day of Office Work. I hate it. I resent getting up earlier, I resent having to figure out lunch and snacks for the day. All in all, it's just a huge inconvenience. And I know someday, they're probably going to make us go in more frequently, and I resent that even more.
I bought the new one shot for the game I'm running with Jess' friends. It's less of a one shot, and more of a mini campaign, saying it'll take between 2-5 sessions, so we'll see how that goes! I figure I'll bring up scheduling in a couple of days and see what we can work out. We'll probably be playing early one day, since one of the party is from Scandinavia.
I considered taking my laptop to work on some D&D prep, but since I eat lunch in my car, the sunlight would make it difficult to see. So, I shall just have to daydream about games while I do my work. I meant to leave a report to do this morning, but I totally forgot, so I shall be attempting to look busy. But, tomorrow is game day, and that is good. It's been a long, dull week and I'm looking forward to having some fun.
For once in a long time, I don't have anything scheduled for tomorrow. I was going to get my hair cut, but I decided to push it off for a week. My pixie cut is getting shaggy, but oh well. I shall have to deal for an extra week.
My sister has on the morning news when I get up, and I swear, every other commercial is a political ad. I'm tired of it, and we still have two weeks before the primary and four months til the actual election. Now there's a segment on inflation. No shit, Sherlock.
I think I've figured out the beginning of the Strahd campaign. The problem I was running into is that it was set up to be incredibly deadly to a first level party. They're throwing a lot at a very squishy party! So, I think I'll run a random encounter first, and get them up to at least second level before I throw some of the harder things at them. Once they get to a decent level, then we'll move into more of the campaign more fully. At least then, the monsters won't be able to one-shot kill them. I think Jess as our cleric will have their work cut out for them keeping everyone healthy. We'll have a paladin coming in, but I believe the player can't make session 1, so they'll have to wait for extra healing.
Okay, I should probably get myself together for work. Gotta put on actual pants and a bra, ew. Have a good Thursday everyone! We've almost made it through the week!
