It's Wednesday, and I survived Tuesday at the office! So, yesterday was Pride day, and as a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group, I felt like I kind of had to go in. Apparently, the other members of the forum didn't feel the same, as only one other person from the group showed up. Assholes. It wasn't a huge thing, a handful of games, a photo station and a snow cone stand. I had a nice cherry snow cone, played connect four (lost) and cornhole (won-holy shit, I got a beanbag in!). I got to chat with a couple of phones coworkers that I used to see regularly when I was still on floor support, which was nice.

The rest of the day was okay. I sat near one of my friends, and got to listen to her team chat and bitch all day. I'm not sure how much work was actually getting done. I made the mistake of pointing out that the coworker assigned to Working Reports was actually off today, and promptly got asked to do it instead, so I had stuff to do most of the day. All in all, it wasn't that bad, but I'm going to resent going in tomorrow. Two times in the office in a week kind of sucks.

Apparently there's a virtual D&D weekend on the weekend of July 8, but that is also the weekend that my sister is away, so it would be difficult, but it's very tempting. It would be Spelljammer which I'd like to get more information on before the books come out. I will think upon it.

The new game continues apace, with everyone starting to figure out their characters. It's definitely going to be another big party. I've been reading through the module, and holy shit, this thing is HUGE. It's gotta be nearly twice as big as Frostmaiden, with many more moving pieces. It's probably a good thing that it'll be scheduled a ways out, because I'm going to need the time to prep. Especially since I'll have to put it down to prep the rest of my games. This weekend, we have Frostmaiden and MotW, both of which are my easy games to prep. They both ended with people making plans on what to do next, so it'll very much be a roll with the punches kind of game. Where we go next is entirely up to the players. Both games have a pretty strong overarching mythology, so it's not hard to pull stuff out of my ass.

They also both involve a lot of homebrew. My MotW is entirely homebrew at this point. We used some premade games near the beginning, but as it went along, I did that less and less. Especially as the mythology built, it didn't make sense to continue using premade adventures. It just wouldn't fit in with the weight of the history of the game.

Frostmaiden is ostensibly a premade module, but we've gone so far off the rails that a good chunk of it now is homebrew. Right now, my team are going after a wizard who to be honest, they were never supposed to meet in the module. Instead, he's now one of the game's boss fights. He also wasn't supposed to be quite at such a high level, but the party needed a challenge.

Only two more days til D&D!

Okay, time for me to get myself together for another fun day of work. Everyone have a good Wednesday!
