Ugh. I really hate having to get up an hour early on Thursdays. I forget, and then that five am alarm is just painful and jolts me awake. This morning, I spent a couple of minutes flailing around for my tablet to turn the alarm off. Hopefully, it didn't disturb Jess too much. The annoying thing is that I woke up at about 4:38, and I was going to take my Rybelsus, but I've been trying to take it closer to when I get up, and I was thinking "Oh, it's not that close to 6 yet. Which is my normal time to get up. So, now I have to wait another 15 minutes before I get to drink my coffee. I really need that coffee right now.
It's an in-office day, which is annoying. I really don't feel like dealing with people today. But, alas, I don't get a say in it. I've got training at 9, so that's something to do for at least an hour. I didn't find out about the training until around 3 yesterday. My former manager gave me a call, and now I'm learning how to do another new thing. On one hand, I like learning new things. On the other, right now, it seems horribly pointless in light of the reorg. No real choice in whether I do it or not, so, guess I'm going to be learning today!
It was really nice to hear from my old manager, even if the reason for the call was to give me more work. I've really missed talking to him. It reminded me again how very little I care for my new manager.
So, I just have to survive the day at work, and then I'll have a weekend full of TTRPG. I can't wait.
