I was going to sleep in today, but my digestive tract said otherwise, so here I am, up at 5:30. Because that's always fun. My stomach is still making ominous noises so we'll see what it's going to do.
It's my weekend! I have very little scheduled. I'm going to get my hair cut today, and I need to put in a Walmart order, but aside from that, not a great deal going on. Possibly a trip to the dispensary for Jess to pick up some gummies? Overall though, a quiet weekend is planned. I may attempt to watch Our Flag Means Death, since a lot of my friends list are raving about it. Might as well use the HBOMax subscription, I suppose.
I'm still having some "Never going to get to go anywhere again" thoughts, but I'm trying to ignore them. It occurs to me that in the event that my sister can't physically take care of dad, there's always respite care. I'm not sure how Dad would feel about that, but it's a possibility. I will do some research and see if it would be feasible. I don't want to make Dad feel like a burden, but Jess and I really deserve a break. Jess and I take care of him from 7am-6:30pm, plus put him to bed every other night. I get him up every morning, we make sure he's fed and has any treats he wants during the day. Lately we've been following him on every bathroom break, making sure if he's unsteady there's a hand on his back to steady him. Jess does the majority of the work, since I'm usually working. They empty his colostomy bag. That alone deserves a vacation. And that doesn't even include the care of the animals. Oh yeah, and we cook dinner and make sure it's ready by the time my sister comes home.
For now, all I can do is plan for vacation and hope.
I plan to book at the Polynesian Resort. God, it's expensive, but it's something I really want. This is going to be to celebrate Jess' 40th and my 50th, so I think it deserves something cool. The Contemporary is nice, and in the event the Poly sells out, it's #2, but if we can do the Poly, we will. I've been told that Disney will release packages in June, so we'll add everything to the package then. Hopefully, it'll be a good deal, complete with tickets, genie plus, memory maker and the dining plan. I'd like to prepay as much as is humanly possible, so I only need to pay for tips and incidentals while we're there.
We don't have a game this weekend until Sunday, which is the Masks game. I need to get to work on that. We're in the land of total homebrew, so I need to get my brain working. Definitely going to need more coffee before I can do that.
I've decided that I'm going short for my haircut. A pixie cut, a little longer on the top. I found a cute pixie cut that was a little longer on top. The model was plus size, which is rare to find, so I know it looks nice on chubby faces.
Okay, for now, I shall go have more coffee and attempt to wake up.
