It's my weekend! Yay! Now I shall commence doing not a whole lot at all. And probably being stir crazy.
We didn't have the team meeting at work yesterday, so that was a bonus. Of course, it's been rescheduled to next Wednesday, right after I have my Equality, Diversity and Inclusion meeting, so that'll be two straight hours of meeting. My brain will be dribbling out of my ears by the end.
I ended up working inventories, so I wasn't quite as bored as I expected. Mind you, they're not my favorite thing to do, but I'm perfectly capable of doing them, and the team requested help. Of course, I agreed to do one, and was promptly assigned to four, so I kind of felt like my good will was taken advantage of. But on the other hand, I could have spoken up and said that I couldn't do that. However, I didn't really have anything else to do, so it would have been hard to say "oh sorry, now I need to work on this nonexistent thing." By one they were up to date with them, so I didn't have to do it the whole day.
Jess is doing okay post iron infusion. A few days of side effects are kind of expected, then hopefully they'll start to feel better. Right now, it's random aches and pains as their bone marrow goes "oh shit!" and starts producing and random nausea. Since that was the same symptoms the oral iron was having, it's not a huge shock.
I'm slowly beginning to be able to read again. I just haven't had the brainpower to do it, but it seems like that's improving. I've been reading books on Kindle Unlimited. Right now, I'm reading Hailey Edwards books. I was a fan of her urban fantasy/romances before and it seems like while I've been on a dry streak, she's put out a bunch of books. I'm especially fond of her Beginner's Guide to Necromancy books, which gave me one of my favorite phrases, that might end up as a tattoo if I ever get around to it. "Make no apologies for surviving." There's some lovely fan artwork that I very much like.
That's about it for today. Have a great Friday everyone!
