This morning can go fuck itself. Nothing huge wrong, just really tired. I slept kind of crappy, waking up a few times, and just feeling like I wasn't getting good quality sleep. Like I never dropped into a REM cycle or something. I feel like a zombie, and everything is annoying to me. Sounds are like nails on a chalkboard, and I want to go back downstairs to my dark quiet room. I'd also like a heat pack because my shoulders are tight and achy.
Yesterday was boring as hell. Markets didn't come in until after I left, so I spent much of the day doing nothing. Around noon, the managers called for help in one of the market folders, so I did a few of those. Whole lot of cancelling shit. I honestly ddon't know what some of my coworkers are actually doing on their markets. There were a few on there that were way past the point of needing to be cancelled. And the person who's markets I was doing is frequently the trainer for new people. The thing is, if you leave an order on the report for more than 2 weeks, the transport company will start charging IKEA a storage fee. So our whole job is to make sure that doesn't happen. It's generally not my business, but it was annoying. My coworker is going to come back from her vacation yesterday to a much shorter list.
Today, presumably all the markets came in after I left for the day, so I'll have those to do, which should cover the first few hours of work before I'm back to boredom.
The pork chops turned out pretty well last night. They were definitely more juicy than the ones we normally get. Tonight, we shall try the chicken breasts. Depending on whether my sister's car is ready, I'll decide how to cook it. If it's done today early and she comes home to fetch it, I'll have my car back and can go pick up the Walmart order early. In that case, I'll probably make up some stovetop stuffing and mound it up under the chicken breasts and bake them that way.
So far, I've been pretty happy with Good Chop. The meats seem to be top quality, and very juicy and tasty. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the meats. I'll probably post a full review once we finish the box.
