It's Christmas Eve! Also, Friday! Mind you, I could be working for time and a half, but the holidays just fell on my days off this year. Oh well.
Got all my presents wrapped yesterday, so that is one less thing to do today. My back's a little peeved because of it, even though I was sitting. Something about the way you have to bend to do it, I guess.
Today, I have to go get the cat's new medication--his tummy did not do well with the thyroid med, so we're trying the transdermal version. Which means going to the nice compounding pharmacy. He'll get a little on his ear every day. It's apparently not as effective as the pills, but far gentler on the system.
Then, it's off to Cracker Barrel to pick up Christmas dinner. We went for their prime rib dinner, which will hopefully be good.
Once that's done, I'm going to come home and change out of real clothes and relax for the rest of the day. My sister has a half day, then she goes to her inlaws for a Christmas Eve party. I'm not thrilled about that. I know everyone is fully vaccinated, and it's not a big group, but I'd much prefer not. She's going back over on Christmas, but with just a few people, which is much better.
Me, I plan to stay in and do nothing. Maybe we'll watch something. We still haven't watched the rest of Hawkeye, or we could find something on one of the many streaming services. Pacific Rim is festive, right?
I lied about not ordering one more damn thing. Though this was totally for me. I ordered a new cupcake pan (12 cupcakes at once instead of six! Decadence!) and a cake pan. I guess technically it could be for the family, as they will partake of the baked goods that I inevitably will bake. It'll also make it much easier to do Dad's blueberry muffins, as I won't have to do two batches.
No D&D this weekend, which is totally understandable, but makes me a little sad. The tail end of Christmas is always a little melancholy for me, so a game would perk me up. But I have the one year anniversary of Frostmaiden to look forward to next Saturday, so that's something good! And the superhero game the week after! I should probably work on getting the actual plot out of my brain onto the gdoc sometime soon. I wrote up the blurb, so my players would know what they were getting into, but haven't worked on the actual game. Maybe I'll work on that today.
