I have a lot of errands I'd like to do today, and I'm not sure how much energy I have to do them. At utter minimum, I'm going to the post office. I should also go to work to pick up half of my holiday gift, which is a $50 Visa gift card. (The other half if a "wellness day" we can take off.) I was going to go to the Amish Market, but I just don't feel like driving out there. Maybe tomorrow.
The other part was to go to Old Navy and try on jeans, since I've got like four pair, and I have no idea what my size is anymore. The 24s are too big, the 22s are okay, but since they changed their sizing, I just have no clue. I may wait til after Christmas to do that, though, since there's a chance of getting an old navy gift card in my card. Also, my back is a little pissy this morning, so I don't know that getting in and out of jeans is in it's best interests.
Yesterday, spent 7 hours being bored at work. The meeting didn't happen, so that was more time spent navel gazing. My markets came in around two, and saying there was an hour of work was generous. I did some training, so it wasn't a total loss, but overall, they've got to find me something to do during the day.
We continued to play with the new oven, baking banana bread, as well as a bake and eat pumpkin pie and pork chops. Today, maybe brownies! I'm finding that food is so much better when you bake it. I've missed having an oven. The baking treats probably won't last long, but I'll enjoy it while it does. I also want to make mandel bread, which I haven't done in years. The doctor I used to work for's wife had given me a recipe, which is now unreadable over the years. Still the above recipe that Jess found looks pretty close to what I remember.
Not a whole lot going on at casa beanside. Mostly getting ready for the holidays, and kind of dreading my birthday on Friday. Somehow 49 sounds terrifying, with only one year left to 50! I'm sure next year will be just as daunting, though.
Everyone have a lovely Friday!
