Nothing like sitting down to drink your coffee and realizing you forgot to get anything out for dinner. Whoops. Fortunately, the pork chops will thaw quickly, so we should be okay. Now to decide what to do with them. Maybe I'll stuff them. The pot roast will just have to wait for another day.
With the new oven I have room to make all sorts of stuff. I haven't had roast chicken since we lost gas, but on Saturday we're going to give it a shot. Sorry, I'm excited about being able to bake again. I actually really enjoy it. I think Jess is going to make their famous shortbread cookies this afternoon!
Work was boring yesterday. I had my start up talk, and did some tweaking of my personal goals for the year in the morning, and I piddled in the inbox a touch, but that was about it. My markets came in the afternoon, but for some reason, it was only half of the report, so that took almost no time at all to do. I don't expect that today will be any better. If I'm lucky, the Boston report will have come in and I'll have something to do this morning. They don't always send one in on Monday, so we'll have to see.
Tomorrow, we're supposed to get snow! It's only supposed to be a dusting, so it should be pretty. I'm not ready for real snow yet, especially because I don't have any boots. I wouldn't mind if it snowed on my birthday, but according to the weather, it doesn't look like it will.
It seems that the new med is already helping Sam a little bit. The internet told me that we probably wouldn't see a change for at least a couple of weeks, but he's definitely not coming out to yell for food as much. I think we only went through two cans yesterday. And he's not so hungry that he's eating the can of turkey, which he really seems to dislike. Of course, we have a ton of turkey, since he just decided this. I think we're going to have to go to Petsmart and get individual cans, so that he has a variety of flavors. He seems to get bored easily.
Okay, that's about it for today. Have an awesome Tuesday, everyone!
