We survived Monday! Yay!
Good lord, yesterday was boring at work. My markets didn't come in til 3:40 (which means I have them to finish this morning, because they suck), so I had the whole day with basically nothing to do. I did some busy work in other sections of our department, but they were pretty well up to date, so there wasn't even much of that to do. I mostly spent time on youtube, watching park walkthroughs of Busch Gardens. Oh well, at least I'll have all of one, plus half of the other to do this morning, so there'll be things to do for a while.
Still in the vacation planning process. I think I've locked most of it down, but I'm still waffling on accommodations. There's some really nice condos that are practically within walking distance of the front gate. They just all have a cleaning fee. Still, I'm tempted to eat that, because then we'd have a place to ourselves. On the other hand, how much will we really be in the hotel room? Is it worth the extra expense to be able to cook breakfast? The hotel has a breakfast, though in the time of COVID, it's less of a breakfast buffet, and more of a here's a bag with a muffin (Which I totally understand). Though the hotel has a fridge and microwave, so there's that. Still, it's a difference of $421 vs $599, so I think the hotel will win, cute as the condo is. I'll put the extra $$ towards Busch Gardens parking fees. Maybe we'll park in premier parking so it won't be such a long trudge to the car when we're already tired.
I've started making a mental list of what I need to get done between now and then. First up, new walking shoes. Probably nothing fancy--the ones I've liked the most in the last couple of years have been from Walmart. Their extra wide shoes just fit better than the really expensive ones. Actually, I was wearing them on our trip to DC when we walked 7 miles in one day. (which for us is a lot.) I'm going to try to get the rest of the bike built this week, so I can build up some endurance before then. Friday's supposed to be 84 and overcast, so hopefully, I'll be able to get the chain on, and maybe some more of it before it gets too hot.
Time to go forth and consider work, I suppose. Have an excellent Tuesday!
