I actually slept in til 7:30 this morning! It's sad that it's an accomplishment, but hey, I'll take what I can get.
Yesterday was just dreary and rainy and blah. I did most of the stuff I had to do, but in between, I was bored as hell. Though to be fair, vacuuming got pushed off to today, because no one felt like standing in a pouring rain to do it.
But last night was good. Jess and I made the executive decision to cancel the movie, deciding that this one could wait until video, on account of looking kind of stupid. Instead, we went out to dinner and to run some errands.
Dinner was at Bonefish Grill. At first I wasn't sure we were going to be able to stay, because their fire alarm had apparently gone off not long before we came, and the alarm lights were still flashing. But, they assured us that the alarm company was on the way to fix it, so we put up with it for a while. It took a little longer than I'd like for it to be fixed, but eventually, it stopped doing the flashy flashy.
It was weird, being in a restaurant again. But kind of nice. Jess had their Lily's Chicken, which has artichokes and goat cheese and I had the Sea bass with crab meat on top. It was all very good, especially the side of sauteed spinach I had as a side. Also, whatever herbs they put in the oil for the bread dipping are amazing. I had to heroically restrain myself from licking the plate when we were done with the bread.
Then, we were off to Torrid, to pick up Jess' Camp Crystal Lake tshirt and to check out their sandals for me. I wasn't holding out much hope, as their shoes rarely fit me well. The mall was pretty much deserted, aside from some somewhat loud early 20's idiots, so we had free reign at Torrid. And shock of all shocks, I found a pair of sandals that fitted perfectly! They're not at all my normal style, kind of a flower patchwork look, but I kind of love them. And they're comfortable, which is more important. They're cute enough that I'm tempted to get a pedicure so my toes will match.
After that, we went to Old Navy, but noped out because it was hotter than hell in there. My mysterious sizing will have to wait another day. No shorts for me. Then, we stopped for boba tea and headed home.
