Yesterday was surprisingly busy. The project has risen from the grave with 143 new entries. (Knew it was coming, but I was hoping not quite so quickly.) Only 143 this time, so it'll only take a couple of days to get back down. Then, my Portland market decided that they wouldn't deliver half their packages. Normally, I have 3-4 orders that need cases because the customer was not at home. Yesterday, it was 15! Took me close to two hours to get it done. Normally, I can breeze through in half and hour, maybe 45 minutes. I'm not sure what the drivers were doing, but apparently not delivering.
After work, it was time to cook the maple/soy pork chops, and to go fetch Dad some more Depends for nighttime. He doesn't normally need them, but he likes to have them, just in case. I did not want to go out, because cicadas, but I heroically walked to my car...where there was a live dragonfly trying to get out of the car via the windsheild. Once we went to the store, I used the receipt to gently urge him out of the car. Somehow the dragonfly bugged me less than the cicadas. It was much smaller, at least.
Now, I'm back staying firmly inside until tomorrow, when doggo has to go for grooming.
Interview this morning at 9. I'm wildly nervous. I'm sure I'll settle down once it starts, but for the moment, it's all butterflies. I have to get Dad up early so I have time to get him settled well before it.
For now, I shall have all the coffee and maybe a pop tart. Have a great Wednesday, everyone!
