What can I say, I'm on a Metallica kick with subject lines.
I did not sleep well at all. I woke up around midnight, and didn't really go back into a deep sleep after. Today I am tired, and headachey. I'm hoping with the application of coffee and ibuprofen, both of those will improve.
Dad has a podiatrist appointment this afternoon, so I (of course) took off early and will take him. It should be a short walk, so he'll do fine with his walker. So yay, I won't have to haul the chair around! Last night we did the ceremonial scrubbing of the feet, so hopefully she won't give me any shit. I hate taking him to doctors for that reason. I always feel like they're judging us on how we're doing at taking care of him. We do our best. He has food, a soft bed, someone with him all day to help him with his colostomy bag, to bring him drinks and snacks. And we haven't choked the shit out of him when he's being a pain in the ass. All in all, I think we do okay.
My boss called me yesterday to let me know that he endorsed me for the Quality position. So, all that's left is to see whether I get an interview, and who knows when that'll be. It just came off the job board, so hopefully soon.
Apparently, everything in Maryland is opening back up at 100%. And when we hit 70% vaccination (defined as at least one shot) we'll be dropping the mask mandate. They're expecting that by Memorial Day Weekend. This makes me very nervous, and I'm just not sure I'm ready to put away the mask yet. I will probably continue wearing it for the time being.
Okay, time to go forth and do my daily Swedish lesson. I'm struggling with this module, so for the first day, I'm not going to add a new one.
