The best thing that I can say for yesterday is that the dogs butt is now shaved. God, it is so raw! The poop must have soaked through to skin and been burning for days. And he's so sad! If he moves the wrong way he cries, and breaks my heart. I don't know what we could have done differently, aside from going to the ER vet for a butt shave. He couldn't go to the groomer because he hadn't had his rabies shot. He wouldn't let us help him. We couldn't get an appointment at our vet because of the weekend. It was just a mess all around. But it's done, and hopefully, his little butt will feel better soon. In the meantime, I will just feel like the worst dog momma ever.
Jess seems a little perkier? Still hurting, but maybe a little better? I'm still worried about them, but they don't want to go to urgent care, so I'm just fretting over them. They're probably sick of me giving them sad cow eyes, but I can't seem to help it.
We're expecting a possibly significant hit of snow tomorrow, but the weather people can't seem to agree on what significant means. Somewhere between 4-10", maybe? With a possible wintry mix topper, because we need more ice.
Back to work today. I doubt any of my shit got done while I was, so that should be fun this morning. The Portland market is going to be all reschedules due to weather, which slows me down. This is assuming i don't end up doing something else entirely. We shall see. If my manager calls in the first ten minutes, it's going to be a day.
Between everything, I am not having a good mental health week. I've been prone to meltdowns pretty much every night. I just feel stretched thin, and my body and brain are not coping well. I'm pretty good in a crisis, but when it's an extended crisis, I apparently go to pieces.
For now, though, Yoda is curled up in a blanket nest on the sofa, and doesn't seem to be too uncomfortable, and I am relaxing in the quiet, and that is good. Hopefully, I'll be ready for today's foolishness when it comes.
