I've got the scars from tomorrow and I wish you could see

Work yesterday was a clusterfuck. We had nearly a thousand delivery updates, about 200 of which didn't get done. I had to give my minions some for this morning. We had not one, but four trailers coming in late, which meant that everything needed to be rescheduled. If not for them, we probably would have had about 400 less. I'm really hoping for a quiet day today. It would be a nice switch. I'm dreading it a little bit, because we're already in the hole, and I fear that's where we're going to stay all day.

In a couple of weeks, I'm going to do a week long stint in our Authorizations dept. They're behind to the tune of 30,000 cases, so they've asked for volunteers to help out. I'm kind of curious to see what the inbox will look like without me cleaning it out every night. (We'll get a preview this week, since I have no time for anything but the delivery updates.) My coworker is also doing it for a week, so I'll be doing his markets, as well as my own and my other coworker, who normally does updates. It will be a fun-filled week for sure.

With snow coming in tonight, we need to make some stops to pick up some supplies. We're low on gloves for Dad's colostomy care, plus I need to get my Ambien from Safeway. (Not looking forward to going to the grocery store before a snowstorm. At least I'm not trying to get toilet paper.)
