Fucking Mondays. *snore*
Anyhow, had a thouroughly wonderful weekend, beginning with Friday night, when we went to see "Feast" at Arundel Mills. A thoroughly awesome movie, and a great time was had by all! After two crappy emo "character study" type movies, Project runway finally hit one out of the park. Of course, this meant that instead of releasing it wide, they released it in about 50 theaters for two nights of late night screenings. The bonus of this is that everyone knew what they were there for, and we all just settled in to have fun. Honestly, probably one of the best crowds I've seen a movie with.
The movie itself was gory, messy, and funny as hell, like some weird bastard child of Evil Dead and Dusk Til Dawn. Even now, I'm still trying to figure out how to work the line "I wouldn't fuck you for practice" into a fic, cause daaaaamn.
Saturday, we visited Webber's farm for their big apple festival, and had much tasty goodness. Caramel apples, cider-sweetened doughnuts, and of course, apple cider slushies. *nod*
Then, it was off to the covenstead for a truly lovely Mabon.
alysonwonderlan did a beautiful ritual, and much fun was had by all.
Sunday, we decided to head to the Ren Fest, to meet up with the lovely
mona1347 and friends. First, since we were down there, we stopped at the Anapolis Mall, and hit Torrid, where I bought WAY more clothes than I should have. I needed the bra, and the halloween undies were cute as hell. But I really, really didn't need the boots.
But, daaamn, they're hot.
Then, it was off to the Faire, where we met up with Mona and friends.
I love fandom. Only via fandom do you meet people that you end up watching adjust their boobs and get laced into corsets within five minutes. Had a great time meeting everyone, and thouroughly enjoyed myself.
On the plus side, I've got a gorgeous burgundy velvet corset that I'm so wearing for the Saturday night debauchery at Wincon. *grin*
