It's funny, I woke up feeling better on 6 hours of sleep than I normally do on 8. Go figure.
We had a good weekend, went to the Towson Fair, which was kind of disappointing. Had good food, but didn't find anything to buy that really suited us. *shrug* Even my boss noted that it was mostly beads/jewelry for sale. I was hoping to find one of the massage schools booth and get mini massages, but no luck. Then, we had dinner, inadvertanly plotted ourselves--Damn you Kripke--and shopped. I now have new capri jeans, shiny new tennis shoes, and two tops, all of which I needed desperately.
Then we came home and wrote the first chapter to the fic: "Of Bastard Saints" I'm pretty happy with it, even if it's basically genfic.
Sunday, thanks to my utter inability to schedule myself properly, was both the coven Beltane and MCW. Ooops. Got to spend a few wonderful hours with the coven at the house Den and Sonya are sitting, which is on the Severn river--so gorgeous. Weather was great, company was perfect, and I felt utterly destressed. I always forget what a total waterbaby I am until I'm near it and ground out.
Then, onto MCW, which was fun as always. Got to see Batista up close--damn, that's a big boy. Also, if he keeps wearing jeans that tight, he's not going to be fathering any more children. Said good bye to ECW-bound Danny Doring, who I forget sometimes only plays an ass. I'll miss him. With that fresh in my mind, I took a second to tell one of our other boys how impressed I am with how far he's come. He used to be one of our Ring crew/security, until he blew out his knee while training. Then, he did ticket taking for a bit, until the brace came off. He debuted not long before MCW folded, and to be honest, he was abysmal. Cute, but man, he sucked. Now...wow. He's huge, about 6'4", and solid, and is developing decent mike skills. With word coming down that Vince is actively looking for big guys... I didn't want to wait.
Now, off to do more work, or at least write more of Jess' b-day fic.
